In this photographic project, I revisit the 1950s through the creation of a fictional airline: Cherry Airlines. This era, when air travel epitomized progress and elegance, is reinterpreted through the lens of nostalgia and fiction. Each image is recreated with the help of artificial intelligence, blurring the lines between reality and invention. Cherry Airlines thus becomes a reflection of contemporary society, where the pursuit of luxury and comfort often comes at the expense of the planet.

Since the 1950s, the relentless quest for new levels of comfort has contributed to an escalating climate crisis, with aviation playing a major role. By juxtaposing idealized images of aerial luxury with today’s environmental reality, this project highlights the paradoxes and illusions of our consumer culture.

Through Cherry Airlines, I invite the viewer to reflect on the contrast between the idealized image of the past and the ecological challenges of today. Vintage aesthetics merge with digital manipulation to create a universe that is both alluring and unsettling, shedding light on the disconnect between our dreams of opulence and the real consequences of our lifestyle.
